The Rescue Foundation was founded in 2003 by Jim Andrews, owner of Andrews Paper Company in Chicago. Jim’s efforts in hiring ex-offenders proved successful to the point that he realized more could be done to assist other ex-offenders.

Upon the formation of Rescue, Jim hopes to provide a brighter future for those that paid their debt to society and can have the opportunity for more, such as business ownership.

Rescue’s mission statement tells the story:

To train and educate ex-offenders on how to operate and build a business and to assist them with funding to become responsible business owners.

Rescue is a tax exempt non-profit organization incorporated in the State of Illinois.

Donations are greatly appreciated and tax exempt.
